BOSTON – State Senator Benjamin B. Downing (D- Pittsfield) is pleased to congratulate Pittsfield residents Raymond Dunham and Doris Behanzin for being recognized by the Massachusetts Department of Higher Education as two of the “29 Who Shine,” an exemplary group of academically accomplished, civically engaged 2013 graduates from the Commonwealth’s public higher education system.
Raymond Dunham, 46, will receive an associate degree in Criminal Justice this May as a member of the honors program at Berkshire Community College.
Doris Behanzin, 21, will receive a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, Anthropology and Criminal Justice this month from Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA).
The “29 Who Shine” were lauded during a State House ceremony this afternoon. Ray and Doris also received Official Citations from the Senate and House of Representatives, marking this honor, from Downing and Representative Gailanne Cariddi (D- North Adams).
