PRESS RELEASE- Downing Lauds Local Recipient of Citizens Award: The Arc of Massachusetts Recognizes Stockbridge Woman May 17, 2007
Pittsfield-Each year, The Arc of Massachusetts selects a group of citizens to receive The Arc of Massachusetts Distinguished Citizens Award for 2007 for their commitment to enhancing the lives of people with disabilities.Today, Senator Benjamin B. Downing (D-Pittsfield) is pleased to announce that Eunice Ross of Stockbridge, MA has been selected to receive this honor.
“Each time I learn of an individual’s dedication to improving the lives of others, especially the lives of those who are affected by developmental disabilities, it is a triumph for the entire community,” said Downing.“It is an honor to recognize Eunice Ross for her spirit of compassion and dedication.”
A model staff member, Eunice Ross, Residential Manager at Riverbrook Residence, Inc., continually works hard to serve the residents in her care.She provides a wide range of assistance and care including nightly bed routines, medication checks, exercise and treatment facilitation, chairing the Riverbrook’s Human Rights Committee, and much more.Parents and guardians rely on her expertise, knowledge and support to guide them through many difficult decisions and situations.
