Pittsfield – Senator Benjamin B. Downing (D- Pittsfield) is bringing his monthly Coffee & Conversation program to the City of North Adams on Monday, May 23, 2011.
Each year Downing hosts ten Coffee & Conversation events – open public forums in rotating towns across his Berkshire, Hampshire and Franklin Senate District. Following North Adams, Downing plans to hold similar events in the communities of Monroe, Middlefield, Lee, Lanesborough and Adams on Monday evenings throughout 2011.
On May 23rd, Downing’s Coffee & Conversation will take place in the 3rd Floor Community Room of the North Adams Public Library, located at 74 Church Street, from 4-6pm. During that time, Downing will provide free coffee and refreshments and be available to those interested in meeting with their State Senator face-to-face.
While Downing’s community relations and constituent services hub is his 7 North Street district office in Pittsfield, he recognizes that serving the largest, most rural district in the Massachusetts Senate presents communication challenges. The Pittsfield office is open during normal business hours Monday through Friday; walk-ins are always welcome.
