Pittsfield – Senator Benjamin B. Downing (D- Pittsfield) will visit Worthington on Monday, February 28th from 4-6pm for this month’s Coffee & Conversation event.
Each year Downing hosts ten Coffee & Conversation events – open public forums in rotating towns across his Berkshire, Hampshire and Franklin Senate District. After Worthington, Downing plans to hold similar events in the communities of New Ashford, Lenox, North Adams, Monroe, Middlefield, Lee, Lanesborough and Adams on Monday evenings throughout 2011.
On February 28th, Downing’s Coffee & Conversation will take place in the Main Hall of Worthington Town Hall, located at 160 Huntington Road (Route 112) in Worthington. During that time, Downing will provide free coffee and pastries and be available to those interested in meeting with their State Senator face-to-face.
While Downing’s community relations and constituent services hub is his 7 North Street district office in Pittsfield, he recognizes that serving the largest, most rural district in the Massachusetts Senate presents communication challenges. The Pittsfield office is open during normal business hours Monday through Friday; walk-ins are always welcome.
