THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT!
On Tuesday, November 4th you gave me the honor to continue serving as your state Senator. Representing the 48 communities of the Berkshire, Hampshire and Franklin District over the past two years has been a tremendous privilege, and I am humbled at the prospect of continuing to work on your behalf in 2009-2010.
This session we have made progress for western Massachusetts: broadband expansion to unserved areas will be a reality by 2010; green collar job training programs have been created to help displaced, unemployed, and underemployed workers; and the downtowns of Pittsfield and North Adams have continued their transformations. Statewide, Massachusetts residents from Pittsfield to Provincetown are benefitting from bold environmental and energy reforms and our landmark health care reform is covering hundreds of thousands of formerly uninsured, while starting to tackle costs.
However, there is still a great deal of work to do. These are uncertain times, but I am hopeful that with a renewed commitment to improving our communities, our Commonwealth, and its incredible residents, we can and will thrive.
Thank you for your support. It is a great honor to continue to be your state Senator.
