Pittsfield- State Senator Benjamin B. Downing (D-Pittsfield) is pleased to announce the opening of local artist Barbara A. Arpante’s exhibit in his district office, located at 20 Bank Row in Pittsfield.
“Each artist has a unique gift and I enjoy seeing the many techniques and talents each artist shares,” said Downing. “I welcome all to stop by my office and view the works of Barbara Arpante.”
A talented photographer and Pittsfield resident, Arpante has been honing her skill though education and execution. She received her Bachelors in Art Studio from Barat College in Illinois. She gained experience locally at Jacobs Pillow Dance Festival as a costume designer and also was a participant in the Green Mountain Arts Festival in Johnson, VT. She has received many awards and recognitions for her work including Best In Show and Grumbacher Award from the Pittsfield Art League and Best In Show from the Becket Art League.
During August and September, Arpante will be displaying three large pieces in Downing’s office: Monterey, Gone But Not Forgotten, and Highlawn Farm.
